Go back in time and stroll along Rue des Ursulines, which is the oldest road in the city. Although it is much smaller than Montreal and Quebec City’s old town, Trois-Rivières’ old city is its main draw and a must for any visitor. I assume these toys are alway available to play with. However, there are things to see and do on both sides of the river. My young son enjoyed filling the old Tonka dump trucks and tractors with the gravel which covered the ground. There were three waitresses (after reading other reviews I now know one was the owner, Nicky) all of whom stopped at some point to make sure we were doing okay or say hello. The Ol Buckaroo is well staffed and the staff is very friendly. I had one of about five local beers which the Ol Buckaroo serves. My wife had a soda made in house with a berry simple syrup which had a great taste. Also my burger was made with grass fed beefing I believe organic veggies. I think both of our meals were around $12. The prices are comparable to other sit down chain establishments. I thought my burger was tasty and well cooked. I live in the surrounding area and had been trying to make it to this food truck after having past it a few time while going and coming from other Three Rivers establishments. It is a rustic, outdoor dining area, surrounded by amazing scenery, that serves a small but well done menu. Known for its continental cuisine, excellent service, and breathtaking views, The Gateway Restaurant offers a wide range of choices for lunch and dinner along with daily specials often featuring seasonable soup, fresh salads, and seafood. Any help is greatly appreciated.This restaurant is exactly what it appears to be. Our top rated Three Rivers restaurant is a favorite among visitors and local residents alike. I realize one day is not doing justice for SEKI but unfortunately our vacay is moreso a LA trip and I'm making a sidestop to hit a bucket list item. The lake is fed by the Kaweah River, high in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and serves Tulare County. It is a manufactured reservoir and one of the most popular tourist attractions in Three Rivers. Lake Kaweah, also known as Lemon Cove, is not just your typical lake. Then spend Saturday driving down into Sequoia and then exit through 3 Rivers with a stay either there or preferably in Exeter/Visalia to cut down on the travel Sunday morning back to Burbank to get a half day sightseeing there. Early start Friday morning exploring main sites in Sequoia before heading into Kings Canyon and back with a stay in Grant Grove area or BnB's right outside the park along 180.ģ) other thought is to spend the Thursday we fly in doing a half day of sightseeing around Burbank and then get an early start Friday to drive to SEKI probably via 180. Backtrack to Burbank Saturday morning to get in a half day of sightseeing there.Ģ) land at LAX at 10am Thursday morning and drive to SEKI via 198, staying the night at Wuksachi/Stony Creek. This would be an early evening arrival and not offer much time for sightseeing but would allow for an early start Friday to drive down into Kings Canyon and backtrack down to Seqouia and either stay at Wuksachi or in Three Rivers. Won't be doing any major hikes but would like to see both parks.ġ) land at LAX at 10am Thursday morning and drive straight to the SEKI via 180 and stay in Grant Grove area. Potential change to our itinerary that wondering if anyone has suggestions on for a full day visit to SEKI in late June 2019 tied in to an LA visit.
